Support for sustainable development.

NODA Pacifique supported the Sustainable Development Department of the Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries of New Caledonia (CAP-NC) in implementing its actions and developing its 2023–2027 strategy.

This assignment notably included:

• The operational management of the Coléo Association for the collection, recovery and treatment of agricultural waste, including the economic structuring of the value chain.
• Support for the scoping and implementation of the PERENNE project for the protection and restoration of riparian forests along the Néra River in Bourail.
• Support for the steering and capitalization of soil fertility management actions under the PROTEGE project, implemented by SPC and funded by the European Union.
• Support for consultations with elected representatives of agricultural professional organizations to co-develop a shared position and technical proposals regarding the draft Water Law for New Caledonia.
• Support for monitoring and capitalisation of the Carb’Agro project, focused on carbon and energy diagnostics of cattle farming systems in New Caledonia.
