Support for monitoring the acaricide waste management plan for cattle tick control.
- Client: EURL PRO VETO
- Period: June 2026
- Location: New Caledonia
NODA Pacifique supported EURL PRO VETO in monitoring its acaricide waste management plan for cattle tick control. An individual management plan had been drafted in 2023, and PRO VETO had been approved by the South Province, where the management of unused human and veterinary medicines (UVMs) is regulated.
In 2026, NODA Pacifique prepared the activity report covering the 2023–2026 period, as well as a new waste management plan for the 2026–2029 period as part of the renewal of the approval application. Drawing on its experience in the phytosanitary waste sector, NODA Pacifique was able to provide rapid and practical recommendations to veterinarians involved in the cattle tick control programme, during a morning workshop organized by the Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries of New Caledonia and the Veterinary Technical Group.
The activity report and the waste management plan are available upon request at poleanimal@cap-nc.nc.
