Facilitation of the Valorga cluster.

The Valorga cluster requested NODA Pacifique to provide interim coverage for the association’s facilitation role. This assignment was formalized through a service exchange agreement between NODA Pacifique and Valorga, a cluster dedicated to the valorization of local organic materials in New Caledonia.

Valorga brings together economic stakeholders involved in the production, processing and use of organic waste. The cluster’s main activities include implementing pilot projects for on-farm composting and organic fertilization, supporting the development of public policies and local regulations, as well as identifying opportunities and financing mechanisms for the cluster.

One of the key challenges of this initiative is reducing agriculture’s dependence on imported synthetic fertilizers and strengthening its resilience to the impacts of climate change.
