Livestock veterinary medicine waste management plan.

Unused medicines, including veterinary medicines, have been regulated under the Environmental Code of New Caledonia's South Province since 2022. Pro Veto was awarded the contract to import acaricide veterinary medicines as part of the cattle tick control programme. This programme was initiated by the Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries of New Caledonia (CAP-NC), which carries out this mission under a delegation from the Government of New Caledonia.

Pro Veto engaged NODA Pacifique to develop a waste management plan for the waste generated by these medicines, including expired products and empty packaging. The plan was prepared in collaboration with CAP-NC, which is also responsible for distributing these acaricides. It complies with Pro Veto's regulatory obligations while helping to reduce the environmental impact of this waste.

NODA Pacifique presented the waste management plan to the veterinarians contracted by CAP-NC for the cattle tick control programme during a meeting co-organized with the Veterinary Technical Group (GTV).

The Pro Veto waste management plan, prepared by NODA Pacifique, was officially approved under Order No. 543-2024/ARR/DDDT.
