Reorganization of the Voh municipal market and its agricultural value chain.

NODA Pacifique supported the Municipality of Voh in designing and implementing a sustainable management model for its municipal market, while also strengthening its agricultural value chain to address the territory's economic and social challenges.

The assignment began with a territorial assessment based on consultations with local stakeholders and the analysis of technical and economic data. This phase made it possible to identify key leverage points and develop operational recommendations, whose implementation was subsequently supported by NODA Pacifique.

The support notably included exchanges and site visits with agricultural stakeholders in the Northern Province, including the Wake Chaa Association in Canala, the GIE Merü, and GAPCE in Poindimié.

This work led the elected officials of the Municipality of Voh to adopt the **"Let's Eat Local"** concept, making its municipal market the first in New Caledonia to formally incorporate it into its internal regulations. For example, industrial sugary drinks are now prohibited and replaced by juices and syrups made from local produce. The initiative was officially launched during a dedicated event, for which OpaO provided support both in organizing the event and in implementing the "Let's Eat Local" competition, designed to promote local products and showcase the skills and know-how of the municipality's residents.

Finally, the study enabled the municipality to develop a broader "Let's Eat Local" strategy at the municipal level, aligned with its tourism master plan, and to identify high-potential value chains, including the coffee sector and the supply of local products to school canteens.
