Facilitation of the PROTEGE aquaculture capitalization workshop.

NODA Pacifique provided project management assistance for the preparation and facilitation of a regional technical capitalization workshop under the PROTEGE programme on aquaculture (ATERCAP), on behalf of the Pacific Community (SPC) and funded by the European Union.

NODA Pacifique partnered with STAP Vanuatu for this assignment, enabling the involvement of aquaculture expert Pierre Lecoeuvre during the preparatory phase. The workshop was held in French Polynesia and brought together more than 40 participants over five days from French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna.

The workshop addressed 22 topics through presentations by speakers and participatory facilitation sessions. During the event, participants identified 60 potential areas for regional cooperation across 17 different aquaculture themes, including aquaculture strategy, oysters, shrimp, and aquaculture training. Territorial dynamics were strengthened through this workshop, which received an average participant rating of 3.5/4.
