- Client: CAP-NC (Assignment carried out on behalf of SCIC Tero)
- Period: March–December 2025
- Location: New Caledonia
- Partners: Maître Gillardin, Robert Levesque
NODA Pacifique conducted, on behalf of SCIC Tero, a study and analysis of the challenges related to the security, management and planning of agricultural land in New Caledonia for CAP-NC.
The assignment first delivered an analysis and forward-looking assessment of agricultural land issues, including an updated diagnosis, a review of developments over the past twenty years, and the development of future scenarios. A one-day workshop was then organized, bringing together sector stakeholders to identify needs, share findings and discuss priority solutions. An analysis of existing schemes implemented in other territories was also presented. Finally, the assignment resulted in a set of operational recommendations tailored to the New Caledonian context.
This work enabled CAP-NC to present technical recommendations to the Board of Directors of ADRAF and to commit to a concrete roadmap for agricultural land management.
